 LEAGUE RULES

4 Team Match Format - Revised 9-7-2005

 

In order to increase participation, we have decided to try for the Spring 2005 season a new 4 Team format.

I > Teams #1-#3 is NTRP level is OPEN.

II >Team NTRP levels for Team #4 is NTRP 4.5 and below

* only those players designated as Team #4 can play in this position - automatic default of team point occurs

if a NON designated player plays in that position.

 

 4 Team Format Scoring - 2-2 tiebreaker

A club wins the match by the following :

A 10 point super tie breaker will be used to determine a team tie

If a match goes to a 2 - 2 tie - the last doubles match on the court shall play a 10 point super breaker for the

match.

Top 4 teams will qualify for the playoffs.

#1 Seed and #2 Seed are given home court advantage.. Finals shall be played at a Neutral Site TBA

The following are guidelines in event of a tie:

We shall remove and NOT count the super breaker as a match in determining the team record

1) Individual matches - Winner of the most individual matches in the entire competition.


2) Sets - Loser of the fewest number of sets.


3) Games - Loser of the fewest number of games


4) Head-to-Head - Winner of head-to-head match
